If you’re into learning algebra, you could you state-of-the-art teaching methods. You could enroll in a course at Khan Academy (for free) or download a Berkeley course from iTunes University (free as well). Or you could go back to the 18th century and start learning the basics from none other than Leonhard Euler, one of my favorite (and one of history’s favorite) mathematicians, with his “Elements of Algebra” from 1770.
As you can imagine there are numerous free examples of this textbook available, but for less than three dollars you can also buy a cleaned up and transcribed version on Amazon. We’re talking 500+ pages here.
